Bye bye, 2010. This is officially the last day of the year. I had lots of ups and downs in 2010. I dropped out of school, but gained a new job at H&M. After lots and lots of driving lessons and three exams, I finally got my drivers license! 2010 was another intense year and 2011 will be more intense than ever. Just wait! More adventures, more concerts to go, more movies/series to watch, more hang outs with friends and most of all more fun! So to everyone out there, enjoy the last couple of hours of 2010. Because you won't get them back!

Wrap

It's a wrap. For this dish I was inspired by Wndy. She did a chicken with a blanket of bacon. So I used the bacon to wrap my pork chop. I sautéed potatoes with a bit garlic, union and chopped bacon. I did an arugula salad with mozerella and parmesan cheese. The pork was seasoned with basil, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper.

Dough

I love making my own pizza dough and make my own pizza. So yesterday I did a simple clean pizza with my own sauce, unions, cheese and a little bit of bacon. I used oregano in my dough to give an extra depth.

With my extra dough, I made my famous pizza-roll. I rolled the dough like a strudel. I filled it with sauce, mozzarella, salami and basil. I used parmesan cheese on top of the roll, it looks pretty nice as a garnish.

It's been a while since I made risotto. So tonight I made pea risotto with salmon. I used basic fish stock for the risotto. The salmon was simpley sauteed with a little bit of oil. Ofcourse to finish it off, fresh lemon juice.

So today I made an upgrade to my gloss burger. The well know glossy beef burger. This time I used nacho chips and a poached egg. I used a new technique to poach the egg. And it came out pretty perfect!

I love cooking on Sunday. So today I made a potato dish in the oven with a strip of pork and a simple salad. A very easy dish to make, especially for the cold days.

This is one of the craziest scenes of Full Metal Jacket. A movie I really like! The cam style is awesome, the dialogues are prime and to see Chuck's Adam Baldwin/John Casey in VC action. That's just classic. So in this scene we see a soldier shooting VC people running. The way he talks smack is just crazy.

Rustic

Lately my style of cooking is more a rustic and homesy with a elegant touch. I use simple, clean ingredients to make awesome rustic dishes. My gloss burger is a perfect example of my style. Simple, clean but elegant. The other day I made a really rustic dish. Boiled diced potato, then drained and tossed with chives, salt and butter untill the potato is a bit crumbley. Simple light sautéed peas with sjallots, garlic, pepper and salt. The protein I used was a beef steak with chilli powder, garlic powder, paprika powder, oil, salt and pepper marinade. To finish it off, I used the fat and left over marinade of the beef to make a easy gravy with sjallots, red wine and beef stock.
