When I was a little boy, I was disliked horror movies. But I always watched them with my family and friends. My cousin was a big fan of the Candyman and Freddy Krueger. Thanks to him, I never wanted a nightmare, esspecially a Nightmare from Elm Street. I watched all Nightmare movies and I was scared of all of them. I get goosegumps when they sing the Freddy-song, brrrr.

So-Me and Starter made these super awesome Cool Cats caps, with only 120 pieces in the world. The 90’s retro-inspired collab features the Cool Cats head logo and Cool Cats font logo embroidered on the Starter cap.

Kenny Scharf's Barberadise

Respected artist Kenny Scharf proudly presented his exhibition of new works over the weekend. The exhibition, with the name Barberadise, showcased new paintings that features familiar icons from Scharf’s own nostalgical world.

In Barberadise, Scharf combines silkscreen, glitter, oil, spray paint and acrylic paint to paint the cast of familiar characters and to flesh out some new ones. He features the Flintstones and the Jetsons living in the cosmos, donuts floating in space, fantastical amorphic blobs, and vibrant topographical jungle paintings. Scharf also plays with found newspaper texts that are translated into screened words on canvas. In a number of new works he uses texts from1950s newspapers that were found stuffed in an old sofa. It is in the style of the Alfie movies, remember the one with Michael Caine and even the one with Jude Law.

I am a huge Hanna Barbara fan, I grew up watching the Flintstones, the Jetsons, Top Cat, Yogi Bear, Scooby Doo and many others.

The girl who got stuck in time

As I sit in the subway-train, a strobe of light hits my eye. What was that? Was the light from the lamp, not it was the reflection of a silver headphone. And there she stood next to the window, a girl with a 90's headphone. I do remember that headphone, it's the same headphone were your gets stuck when you want to take it of. The samen headphone with the fluffy padding for the ears. You can make it more retro when you have the old skool cassette player. As I lock my eyes towards her, I see she reach to her pocket and I see that old skool cassette player. That sight was so fascinated, it was like a girl from the past has been sent to the future. She wore those Adidas Superstar shoes, the white ones with the black stripes.



I do like her style, a really simple but retro style. And she looked very cute, half short hair and pixie eyes combined with a cute smile.

As the subway-train stops, she walks out. I have no idea who she is and were she is going. I hope I see her again, maybe we could share some 80/90's music.

Remember when cartoons were awesome

Back in the 90's there so much of awesome cartoons. I do miss those times, when I sit infront of the TV and watch hours and hours of Cartoon Network.

OMG, Seth Rogen is the Green Hornet? I always knew that the Green Hornet couldn't fight, but now I do know for sure he can't fight. Well, the New Green Hornet can diss you out and make you laugh, so this movie will still be awesome. Michel Gondry is going to direct the movie, so it will be a surpise and a little but artsy fartsy. Also Cameron Diaz and Nic Cage will be in it.

Where's the rage

As I sit here behind a computer, listing to Kings of Leon - Ragoo. I feel nothing, no rage, no sorrow, no pain. I had moments where my rage takes control, moments when I feel sad, when the sadness takes control. Emo takes over and laughs in my face, making me all sad. Not at a point where I cut my wrist, oh no. I am curtainly not like that, I was more an emo where I sit behind the computer and complaining about life.

Everybody lives a curtain life where he/she feels an emotion and can't control it. It is like the weather, you can not control the weather. When you are upset, you can not control the rage, or maybe the tears. You can hold strong about it, but deep inside it boils. It wants to come out, but you hold strong. So it will come another time and place.

What I am going to say now, is kinda strange. Yes, I have little feelings now, but I miss the rage or madness. Sometimes it feels so good to let it all out at once. I miss that sinister person in me, saying to do bad things. Maybe I have controled it, I don't know. I don't even know, when I had a conversation with the Dark Passenger. Do you remember him, the one who talks me into buying bad things. Or the Rage, the one who reminds me you can let it all out and sometimes be a jerk. At this moment, I am a zen person. I think more about my next steps and plan everything carefully. Maybe I have to look up the Dark Passenger or the Rage or the Emo and have a long long talk with them. Maybe we can let one out for a day, so watch out my friends...

Don't worry guys, I am not psycho or something. Everybody has these feelings, everybody struggles with this, I am just sharing mine with yours.

The will to move

It is my second year at a new school, so far it is going well. But I have loads of work to do, I have two options: 1 be all nonchalant about it and see where it goes to and 2 work my ass off! I'll take the second option, work my ass off. This year will the hardest and most intense year ever. As I wake up, I know and I am dedicated to work for it. Last year was an okay year, but I could work better and harder. Now I have to take all the slack from last year combine it with this year, you can guess it is very hard.

But you know, I have obtained many obstacles. So this will be another chapter of my life. You can say this is a the story of my succes. In a few years I can laugh at this and chill out with my family and friends, having an awesome job.

But for now, WORK YOUR ASS OFF!

Disney owns Marvel

OMG, Disney bought Marvel for 4 Billin Dollars. So Spidey has some new friends, the gang from Disney. I never guessed that this day will come that Disney owns Marvel. It´s like Wolverine and Donald Duck, Cable and Pluto, it will be so strange. I hope that it won´t hurt the comics and that the crossovers will eventually be a success.

The NY-Times reports: "LOS ANGELES — Spider-Man and his Marvel Entertainment cohorts will join the Walt Disney Company in a $4 billion deal announced early Monday. Disney said in a statement that it would pay a combination of about 60 percent cash and 40 percent stock to acquire Marvel, which has a stable of some 5,000 characters that includes the X-Men, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Captain America and Thor."
