It's always a delight to have some spare time to cook some comfort dishes. This entire weekend I cooked my favourite dishes. I even had the time to cook a dish from my childhood.

My mom always made noodle soup with eggs and rice for me when I was a kid. So this is my version. Simple chicken broth with noodles and an egg on top. On the bottom you'll find white rice. Brings back so many memories.

I love to make burgers. So this is a little spin on my famous gloss burger. Beef and lamb burger with chopped bacon, cheddar & gouda cheese, blue cheese dressing, nacho, tomato and sauteéd shallots on an Italian buns.

Leftover sandwich with ribs, nachos and 6-minute egg.

Tasting menu dish: Penne with fresh homemade bolognese sauce, sausage meatballs and cheese.

For this dish I used old bread. I chopped the bread and layered on my porkchop. It was a lumpy breadcrumb. I seasond the breadcrumb with pepper, salt and pesto. For my mash I used sour cream to give it a silky, smooth texture and flavour.

So yesterday I attended The Decemberists at the Paradiso Amsterdam. And it was freakin' awesome.

Today I made a really fast dish. I made an easy simple risotto with broccoli and tempura white fish. I used a lot of different kinds of cheese in the risotto, to give it a silky texture. I love the tempura fish on top of the broccoli on top of the risotto.

After months and months not buying new shoes, I finally got some new kicks. Straight out off Pricinct 5, Adidas KBALL MID by Kazuki Kuraishi. I don't have brown sneakers, so these make a pretty good addition to my collection. You are wondering, who is Kazuki Kuraishi?

Kazuki Kuraishi is a famed Japanese fashion designer who has been around for a while, he works behind the scenes for such Japanese style brnads as A Bathing Ape and Fragment design. His recent adidas ObyO collection has been something of a breakout collection for him, it gives him a chance to step out of Harajuku’s shadows and gain increased international recognition in his own right. His style shows classically simple designs with with high quality materials. Kazuki’s signature is his sparing use of a single vivid colour, as seen here on the laces, to prick the eye and add cohesion to his creations.

Legendary!

Last evening I attended a legendary concert by a great band with the name, Band of Horses. I were really, really good. Ben ( the leadsinger ) was awesome, also the band was beyond great! One of the greatest moments of that night, when they did the following songs: Is there a ghost( they started with this song ),No one's gonna love you, The end is not near, Older and Evening kitchen. I made some pics with my iPhone.

This was truly a night to remember, I want seconds!
