It's always a delight to have some spare time to cook some comfort dishes. This entire weekend I cooked my favourite dishes. I even had the time to cook a dish from my childhood.

My mom always made noodle soup with eggs and rice for me when I was a kid. So this is my version. Simple chicken broth with noodles and an egg on top. On the bottom you'll find white rice. Brings back so many memories.

I love to make burgers. So this is a little spin on my famous gloss burger. Beef and lamb burger with chopped bacon, cheddar & gouda cheese, blue cheese dressing, nacho, tomato and sauteéd shallots on an Italian buns.

Leftover sandwich with ribs, nachos and 6-minute egg.

Tasting menu dish: Penne with fresh homemade bolognese sauce, sausage meatballs and cheese.

After months and months not buying new shoes, I finally got some new kicks. Straight out off Pricinct 5, Adidas KBALL MID by Kazuki Kuraishi. I don't have brown sneakers, so these make a pretty good addition to my collection. You are wondering, who is Kazuki Kuraishi?

Kazuki Kuraishi is a famed Japanese fashion designer who has been around for a while, he works behind the scenes for such Japanese style brnads as A Bathing Ape and Fragment design. His recent adidas ObyO collection has been something of a breakout collection for him, it gives him a chance to step out of Harajuku’s shadows and gain increased international recognition in his own right. His style shows classically simple designs with with high quality materials. Kazuki’s signature is his sparing use of a single vivid colour, as seen here on the laces, to prick the eye and add cohesion to his creations.

Last evening I attended a legendary concert by a great band with the name, Band of Horses. I were really, really good. Ben ( the leadsinger ) was awesome, also the band was beyond great! Today I tried Marcel Vigneron's Pappass Canaries. It's a potato dish with sea salt. I boiled the little potato with sea salt. After the potato was done, I drained the water and let the heat colour the potato. It looks almost like the potato was tossed through sand or dust. I butter based the porkchop with garlic, thyme, basil and oregano. The sauce was a spicy chili mayo with a squeeze of limon and olive oil. A simple dish with lots of different techniqes.

This weekend I made two version of a fish taco. The first one was with a classic corn tortilla with pollock, beans, corn, tomato and lettece. The second taco was a lettece wrapped taco with crispy catfish, corn and tomato. I used a tempura batter for the catfish and then I deep fried it. Both of the taco dishes I used lemon to fish it off.

I am a huge Spider-Man fan. I grew up watching every Spider-Man cartoons. I had comics, toys, clothing and many more Spider-Man merch. So when they announced they would do a Spider-Man moviem, I was in glee! And it was pretty sure that Sony would do a trilogy. But as a true true fan, I got a little bit disappointed. In the first movie, Norman Osborn/Green Goblin dies. In the second movie Otto Octavius/Dr. Octopus dies and in the third movie, Eddie Brock was played by Topher Grace which was a mistake ( well in the Ultimate Spider-Man sage, Eddie Brock was a wimp ). But I always remember Eddie/Venom as this big guy. And there were other disappointed factors. Like, you'll only see Flash Thompson in the first movie for a few minutes. Gwen Stacy appearded in the third movie, but in the comics, she is Pete's first love. And the Green Goblin doesn't really measured up to the true Goblin. But now, years later since the third Spider-Man. They announced to do a reboot. With a different cast, new story and a new universe. And after seeing plot lines, cast/characters and the new suit. I really feel like a kid reborn! The new suit looks amazing. The new Peter Parkers is I think awesome, Andrew Garfield ( The Social Network ). Also and finally Gwen Stacy, the first love! The new vilian is The Lizard, also one of my personal favourites. So I really can't wait for this!

A new dish! Succotash with catfish. Succotash is a vegetable dish with beans, corn and other veggies. My version is with kidney beans, corn, green bell peppers and tomato. The colours are amazing, vibrant fresh colours! The catfish was sautéed with oil and butter. Simple and clean!

This weekend, I did two chicken dishes. The first was a sticky lemon chicken and the second was a simple oven roasted chicken. Both dishes I used potato as a side. With the first chicken dish, I used honey, soy sauce, lemons, chilli, basil and thyme. The potato was simple sautéed with oil, salt and pepper. The second chicken dish was first prepped in a pan, for the colour. I seasoned it with soy, lots of chilli, lots of garlic, union and most important chicken stock for extra flavour. The mash was simple seasoned with salt, pepper and chives. And ofcourse my favourite, peas.

The roast was the perfect dish to end the weekend.

Bye bye, 2010. This is officially the last day of the year. I had lots of ups and downs in 2010. I dropped out of school, but gained a new job at H&M. After lots and lots of driving lessons and three exams, I finally got my drivers license! 2010 was another intense year and 2011 will be more intense than ever. Just wait! More adventures, more concerts to go, more movies/series to watch, more hang outs with friends and most of all more fun! So to everyone out there, enjoy the last couple of hours of 2010. It's a wrap. For this dish I was inspired by Wndy. She did a chicken with a blanket of bacon. So I used the bacon to wrap my pork chop. I sautéed potatoes with a bit garlic, union and chopped bacon. I did an arugula salad with mozerella and parmesan cheese. The pork was seasoned with basil, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper.

I love making my own pizza dough and make my own pizza. So yesterday I did a simple clean pizza with my own sauce, unions, cheese and a little bit of bacon. I used oregano in my dough to give an extra depth.

With my extra dough, I made my famous pizza-roll. I rolled the dough like a strudel. I filled it with sauce, mozzarella, salami and basil. I used parmesan cheese on top of the roll, it looks pretty nice as a garnish.

People who know me, I am a wrestling fan. So it was a delight to see Kid Sister wearing an Austin 3:16 in the video clip of Carte Blanche.
